Natalie Merchant, que es la vocalista de 10.000 Maniacs, nos ofrecerá ahora una amplia selección de villancicos tradicionales en español. Este Youtube lo he encontrado por casualidad. Os recomiendo que leáis los comentarios que hacen distintos usuarios en la citada página, son bastante curiosos, como uno que dice que no se entiende muy bien y no parece castellano, otro le replica que sí, pero que es castellano antiguo, y aparece otro que afirma que lo que canta Merchant no es castellano sino catalán... También se dice que no parece su voz, finalmente parece ser que fue una especie de regalo o felicitación navideña que colgó en su web hace unos años.
Efectivamente, los comentarios valen la pena. Me adhiero al que califica el video como horrible y hermoso a la vez. Fascinántemente horroroso, diría yo. El youtube no sé como me ha saltado luego a una versión rociera, y he respirado hondo.
